How to Apply!

Postby scottee on Mon May 24, 2010 1:53 am

Since we've been getting alot of spam, you must register an account in order to submit an application. That account will be activated by moderators of this forum. Activations may take anywhere from 5 minutes to a couple hours, depending on who is online. If your account has not been activated within 24 hours of your creating it, and you'd like to have it looked into, please log on to Frostwolf and speak to Scoteecopter, Tippo, Raex, Hoticehunter (RealID: Hoticehunter@comcast.net just say you're an applicant when you do), Balancepoint or email depravedrecruits@gmail.com .

How to apply
The first step to applying is to read this thread. Make sure we're a guild you would actually want to be in. If you are still interested in joining Depraved and think you are the type of player we are looking for after carefully reading about us, you need to meet the following requirements:
  • All of your character's gear must be fully and correctly enchanted/gemmed
  • You must have a registered account on our forums for contact purposes
  • You must have the ability to log onto and speak on Ventrilo
  • You must have the ability and desire to maintain a minimum 80% raid attendance as a trial, and a full member if you succeed.
These requirements are non-negotiable. If you post an application and fail to meet all of these requirements you will be declined.

Application Information
  • We receive quite a few applications. As such, it can take some time for us to respond to each applicant. We respond to all applicants via email or in-game mail. Whether we are declining your application, putting your application on hold, or accepting your application, we will respond to you. It can take multiple days or even weeks, but you will get a response.
  • If you tend to log out in your pvp gear/spec you may delay the application process. We want to see how wise your raiding choices are, not your leet pvp skills. Your gear and talent spec are both important factors in determining the success of your application. If we can't figure out which pve gear and talent spec you're currently using for raids in a reasonable amount of time, you will be declined.
  • If you write like an idiot, people are going to assume that you are an idiot. We don't know you. Take your time while filling out an application. Use proper grammar and make sure you provide as much information as possible. If your application looks terrible, we're going to assume you are terrible.

Trial Period Information
  • Our trial period normally lasts about four weeks. However, it can and will be extended under certain circumstances.
  • Applicants should be prepared to use consumables on all progression fights, this includes flasks, dps potions, food buffs, etc.
  • Applicants should expect to sit out for on progression content for veteran raiders, as well as being pulled in for new fights. There is a reason we are recruiting your class, be prepared to see new content.

Raid Schedule & Attendance
Our raid times are based in the PST timezone (Pacific Time, aka Server Time). Our current weekly raiding schedule is as follows:

Monday - Off
Tuesday - 7:30pm - 11:30pm
Wednesday - 7:30pm - 11:30pm
Thursday - 7:30pm - 11:30pm
Friday - Off
Saturday - Off
Sunday - 7:30pm - 11:30pm

Invites go out 15 minutes prior to raid start, and all members are expected to be online and ready at that time. This means in or near the zone, NOT in a dungeon, battleground, on an alt, or afk.

We expect all trials and members to maintain an average lifetime attendance of 80% or better. If you can't hold up to this during your trial, we won't expect much better than you as a member and will most likely decline you.

We understand that sometimes things come up that take priority over playing a game. We do not expect our members to quit their job, dump their girlfriend/boyfriend, disown their family, or drop out of school just so they can meet our attendance requirements. However, we do expect our members to act responsibly and inform us prior to a lapse in attendance. We will be very accommodating as long as this happens. However, players that fail to do so will be treated with the same lack of respect they've shown their guild mates.

If you feel that you possess the skill and knowledge of your class and think that Depraved might be a fit for you, then head on over to http://www.depraved-guild.net/app to fill out an application.
